Fire Resistant Modacrylic Fiber
It is well known that some countries already have regulations governing the fire resistance of textiles, while others are seeking strict standard that will become the subject of future legislation.
Market demand must also be borne in mind, especially in some fields of use requiring fire resistant fibers complying with stringent specifications.
Under the background of growing market demand, one of our factories uses equipment supplied by SNIA(ITALY) to produce fire resistant acrylic fiber. Our process adopts continuous production, wet spinning and the use of gel-dying techniques. Our factory has produced a wide range of fire resistant and high fire resistant acrylic fiber with a range of luster( bright, semidull and dull). The product possesses the following general properties:
? Excellent fire resistance in properly made fabrics.
? Excellent dimensional stability to heat treatment, whether in hot air or in
water.
? No significant degradation from exposure to light.
? Pleasant to handle, with good drape.
? Processing versatility in all manufacturing equipment.
? Good resilience.
? Good and easy dyeing qualities leading to fast colors.
? Limit oxygen index of fire resistant fiber is above 26 and that of high
fire resistant fiber can reach 31.
? Fiber denier(dtex) is 1.5---20 and its cut length(mm) is 28--120.
